Medical and Mental Health Resources
We strongly urge that all trainees establish care with a Primary Care Provider during their training period in New Haven.
For this purpose, we are offering information on how to make an appointment and establish care with one of multiple providers. If calling the provider’s office to make an appointment, you should identify yourself as a Resident/Fellow at Yale-New Haven Hospital/Yale School of Medicine. The vast majority (if not all) of these providers accept the insurance that YNHH provides. Those trainees paid by the University for the most part are with the Health Plan or have private insurance and should check if the provider that they are interested in accepts their insurance.
Provided below is information about other specialty physicians and dentists which may be useful to trainees:
+ Primary Care Providers
Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) is affiliated with the health system and has a website where you can search in a geographic area and for an appointment time on-line, or by calling their appointment line listed on this page.
Community Medical Group: searchable website, but must call for appointment.
PACT Primary Care providers – you need to call directly to find out availability.
